Radio Static

ft-pitt-tunnel

Has it been a month since my last post? Almost.

The past month has been like listening to a radio station while driving through a tunnel. As you drive deeper, the radio station fades into silence. Then there is just a bunch of static and the repeating pattern of concrete slab thuds and yellow lights shining by.

You also get a sense that you’ve temporarily lost contact with the outside world. Any and all forms of communication are gone as all your focus is on the road ahead of you. You hope that you can make it to the end of the tunnel because – at least in the back of my mind – I always have this thought that “I really hope there is not a cave-in!”

Right at the end, as you drive into the bright light, the station returns. You’re back in the world and escaped the tunnel. You’re back with humanity.

That’s a metaphor for the past month. I can finally see a light at the end of the tunnel.

What does that mean for you? Well, hopefully you’ll be enjoying some new material the next couple months 🙂
